Emerging from Southern California’s dynamic music landscape, AOEC (All Our Energies Combined) is a band built on unity, resilience, and the transformative power of collaboration. Fronted by vocalist and visionary Chantelle, the group channels a decade of shared history into music that pulses with raw emotion—a testament to rebuilding from the ashes of past projects and embracing a bold new chapter.
A Phoenix Reborn: The Origins of AOEC
AOEC’s story begins in late 2023, but its roots stretch back over a decade. Chantelle and her bassist, who have played together in three previous bands since 2008, reunited under the guidance of producer Brandon Zano. A serendipitous homework assignment for Chantelle’s degree led her to interview Zano, reigniting her passion for music. “It was like a full-circle moment,” she recalls. “We just went for it.”
The band’s name, All Our Energies Combined, reflects their ethos: a collective effort where every member’s strengths merge into something greater. “No one does it alone,” Chantelle emphasizes, drawing parallels to her sports broadcasting background. “It’s like a relay race—you’re running your lane for the team.”
Art as Alchemy: Symbolism and Sound
AOEC’s debut single, “This Is My Life,” is a defiant anthem of self-acceptance, inspired by breaking free from societal expectations. The track’s haunting album artwork—a phoenix painted on Chantelle’s back—symbolizes rebirth. “It’s about shedding old skin and owning your truth,” she explains. The body art, created by artist Kevin Lim, went viral on Instagram, blending visual storytelling with their musical narrative.
Their upcoming song “Drive” promises a punk-infused edge, with Chantelle pushing her vocal limits. “I’m experimenting with fry and rhythm,” she shares, hinting at a raw, energetic direction. The band also plans their first music video, aiming to capture their 2000s-inspired sound—a nostalgic yet fresh vibe for all the punk fans out there.
DIY Grit and Global Ambitions
As independent artists, AOEC wears many hats. Chantelle juggles singing, marketing, and publishing, while the band self-manages bookings and promotions. “You have to protect your vision but stay open to feedback,” she says, reflecting on balancing creativity with practicality.
Despite their grassroots approach, AOEC eyes global stages. Plans for a 2026 national tour are underway, with aspirations to perform at iconic venues like Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre. “We’ve had fans in Ohio and the UK asking for shows,” Chantelle laughs. “2026 is just the start.”
Community Over Competition
Chantelle’s philosophy revolves around camaraderie, not rivalry. Inspired by bands like Of Virtue and Archers, she advocates for lifting others up. “In music, when you win, we all win,” she says, contrasting AOEC’s collaborative spirit with the often-cutthroat industry.
Though AOEC has yet to debut onstage, Chantelle’s drive to connect with their fans is sure to make their first appearance on stage one to remember. Reminiscing on how she became inspired to begin with she says, “Music isn’t just notes; it’s about creating a space where people feel seen.”
What’s Next?
With a debut EP slated for 2026 and a growing TikTok following documenting their journey, AOEC is poised to make waves. For Chantelle, success isn’t about fame—it’s about impact. “We’re here to remind people that they’re not alone. That’s what music did for me.”
